Accounting and A Single Scoop

It’s a beautiful Sunday evening. I just got back from grabbing dinner at Taco Bell with a couple of the guys in my Accounting class. We’ve been studying most of the afternoon for our test tomorrow. I don’t like to study on Sundays, but sometimes it’s hard not to. The leadership conference was going on all weekend, so most of my day yesterday was taken up with that… and I don’t have more than an hour or two to study tomorrow before the test. I’ve been pacing around campus with a thick stack of note cards — all accounting terms, definitions, ratios, computations, and little tidbits of information that I’m responsible for. I feel more ready now than I did (probably a good thing, considering I put about three hours of studying in this afternoon)… but I still have a lot of material to cover.

The guys and I stopped by Mr. T’s ice cream on the way back up the mountain. A couple of us just got a single scoop …they probably put about a pint of ice cream into what they call a “single scoop.” I couldn’t even finish it (I’m telling you, if you’re looking for a place to get cheap and good ice cream, go to Mr. T’s — you could get a single scoop for $2.25 and share it with two people! I should do their advertising…).

I’m about to take a half hour break.. and by that, I mean spend some time walking outside with a stack of note cards and NOT staying inside a building.

Pray for my dad — he left for Asia (can’t specify exactly where) early this morning and will be gone for two weeks. Pray for safety.
