Vocal Chords and Ephesians 6
I hate alarm clocks. I usually never have a problem waking up to any sort of noise in the morning, but just in case, I always set two alarms for my 8:00 a.m. classes. The first one goes off at 7:00 and the second at 7:15. Well, I heard the first one… I reached over and turned it off. My throat was just as sore as the previous morning. And I definitely remember seeing every half hour on the clock from 3:15 a.m. until I woke up. I laid there in bed and decided to close my eyes and wait for the 7:15 alarm. It never happened…
By divine providence, I woke up at 7:50 a.m. I opened my eyes and looked at my clock. “Bad words!” as one of my friends likes to say… I jumped up, threw on my clothes, grabbed my books and a bag of peppermint tea, and ran out the door. I stopped by the pyschology commons at 7:59 to make some tea. My throat was raw once again, except this time I couldn’t talk. My voice was completely shot. Oh well. I walked into class at 8:02 along with my best friend Joey who had also just rolled out of bed.
Got to love Mondays.
On a happier note, I read Ephesians 6 earlier this morning. My dad pointed it out to me in the Message Bible. One verse that I really liked and pertained well to how I’ve been feeling was the following:
Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Dude I seriously hope you start feeling and getting better soon! I’m praying for you and hope your week improves. I’m reading this and it’s sounding just like what’s going on at my house with my mother. Hang in there man and may you be blessed!
