Sickness and Prayer

It’s so frustrating being sick. I woke up yesterday morning with a really bad cough.. and it’s just progressed from there. Tomorrow is Day of Prayer though, so it’ll be amazing to have an opportunity to rest and sleep.

I would ask for prayer for one of my close friends - her best friend’s mom passed away last night after going into a coma from colon cancer. There’s nothing easy about seeing someone you love pass on… or seeing someone you love hurting from a recent death. One thing I encouraged her in was to allow herself to grieve. I know that I have often believed that grieving was just a sort of weakness or a not allowing myself to move on - but as I was reminded, grieving the loss of someone you love is part of healing. Don’t forget that.

  1. I’m trying not to forget it… I’ve cried so much today. It’s so strange for me to feel so much in one day…

Thank you for your prayers and encouraging words, friend.
