Seasonal Change

It’s about that time of year… the leaves are changing color and falling off the trees, the birds are disappearing, and it’s getting colder… much colder.

Heading South

During this time of a mere change in season, it’s been important for me to know and be reminded of the fact that God has ordained those seasonal changes. He is in control,  and too often I forget that. In Psalm 104 (written by David, I believe), David praises God for his wonderful goodness and power in all things.

Praise the LORD, O my soul.
       O LORD my God, you are very great;
       you are clothed with splendor and majesty…

The moon marks off the seasons,
       and the sun knows when to go down…

How many are your works, O LORD!
       In wisdom you made them all;
       the earth is full of your creatures…

God knows… He is the ONE whose hand is over all of these matters, and He is the one who controls them. Don’t forget that.
