A Beautiful Wedding

I have a mere 20 minutes to check emails, write a few short words, and then start heading back to Camp Westminster for the remainder of the summer. I came home on Friday to spend a beautiful and special weekend with my older brother Wim. Yesterday, on June 3rd, he married Libby Davis… a beautiful person in every aspect, and someone I am honored, privileged, and happy to now call my sister.

The weekend was wonderful. It was a blessing to have some time off from camp training, as well as to have the opportunity to see my family and some old friends of Wim’s that I knew growing up in high school - even two friends from England and a friend from France who made their way some 4000 miles to be with us. What a blessing.

I am frantically trying to get packed up again, as well as spend some time preparing the Bible studies that I am responsible for giving every morning to my campers. As a senior camp counselor, I have my own cabin of campers… and every morning, we’ll be spending 30 minutes in prayer and Bible study. It has been challenging, but a blessing none-the-less, to have this opportunity to dig deeper into the Word… as well as think about how I can present them to the young campers i’ll be leading.

I would ask for your prayers. It’s going to be an intense, stressful, but amazing summer. I would ask for prayer for the staff and counselors at Camp Westminster as we camp has begun …for wisdom, guidance, and love to lead the young minds to Christ. I would also ask for prayer for my brother Wim and his wife Libby. They are starting a beautiful new journey together - may your prayers (and my prayers) always be with them. Thank you.
