Alone Time
Sunday, February 11th, 2007What a day… I went to Rock Creek Fellowship this morning for church, and then came back for lunch in the Great Hall. Sunday lunch is definitely one of the highlights of my weekend. It’s always just relaxing being able to come back from church and join the majority of campus in the dining hall for one of the best meals of the week. They always do a brunch, not to mention the reknowned omlets that are made to order. :) No joke, people wait 45 minutes in line for those things… good times.
After lunch, I said goodbye to one of my close friends who had come up for the weekend. It’s hard to say goodbye… it’s one of those things that never really gets an easier, no matter how many times you have to do it. You know? People often think that I am used to having to say goodbye to people just because I have had to do it so many times in my life with all the traveling and moving we’ve done… but it never gets any easier.
After saying goodbye, I grabbed my camera, a pad of paper, and a pen… and headed down towards Jackson Pond. It was too beautiful and warm to stay inside, and I needed some alone time – away from the busyness of campus life and away from the stress of studying. Click to continue »
