…a chance to be thankful?
It’s a rainy and cold day on Lookout. I was thinking about it this morning… how easy it is to be pessimistic or down when it’s raining outside. Why is that? I asked one of my friends that this morning on the way to Rock Creek Fellowship. Why is it that whenever it’s raining or cold or wet outside, it’s so much easier to be down or disappointed? And why is it that when the sun is shining, it’s so much easier to take an optimistic stance on life. Crazy.. :)
But I guess this is just a short reminder to myself, as well as to you — to remember that whether it’s raining or snowing or sunny… God is still sovereign and living through it all! I was thinking about that a lot this morning during church. And I just want to encourage you to again take a few minutes to jot down ten things you are thankful for. I decided to do that this morning during church. That was one of the biggest things my mom encouraged me to do while I was home for Christmas break - to sit down and just thank God for everything He daily provides us with and blesses us with! I did it this morning and was able to write a full two pages of things that I can be daily thankful for… and I am still working on adding to the list. :)
Just a thought…
