Fall colors… and tennis courts

So one of my favorite things to do when I need a break from studying is definitely to hit up the tennis courts. I’m not an expert by any means… but who says you have to be an expert to have fun?

Today was definitely one of those days that I just needed a break from the busyness of the week past and of the stressful week to come. It’s a Sunday afternoon. I walked down to the pond behind Jackson Hall with one of my friends… it was such a beautiful day, and it was good to get out into the fresh air and the beautiful fall colors. We walked around the pond and found some amazing leaves. Fall on Lookout Mountain is definitely an unforgetable experience. The change of all the colors is incredible… I’ve had the privilege of growing up overseas and living in a handful of different places. My parents were missionaries for thirteen years, so we got around. But of all the places I have seen, I have never seen a more beautiful fall than what I’m living in right here, right now on Lookout Mountain.

After walking around the pond, we headed back up towards Maclellan Hall to find my sister Bets to play tennis. So yeah, we definitely dragged along some five other people on our way down to the tennis courts. We headed down to the tennis courts and definitely just spent a good two hours playing around! The combination of me, Bets, our crazy-fun friends, and a few tennis balls is pretty much amazing. There is nothing quite like it. We spent the two hours doing anything from doubles, singles, three’s (not sure if there is even a name for that), wall ball, and just practicing our serves…. good times!

It was a much needed breather from studying and the busyness of campus/class life.
